HOME

We are a small, diverse, and cooperatively run community of approximately 70 + full time households approximately 150 people and an about 50 equal additional summer residents. We have neither Rabbi nor synagogue and we celebrate most holidays with community-led services. During the course of the year, we have many social, cultural, and religious events to keep us connected.

There is no kosher butcher on the Island but there are large chain supermarkets such as the SuperStore and Sobeys that carry the usual kosher certified products. Prince Edward Island is the smallest province in Canada with a population of about 141,000. The largest city is Charlottetown with a population of about 40K. PEI is connected to the mainland New Brunswick by a magnificent 14 km long bridge constructed only 10 yrs ago. Until that time travel to the island was by ferry boat or airplane. It’s a beautiful Island with lots of sandy beaches.
